Oak Kitchen

Our clients returned to us again with some ideas for a new oak kitchen. We took their ideas and requirements and developed the design which needed to incorporate a feature to conceal the central column in the room which was supporting a beam on the ceiling. We therefore designed an island unit around the beam which converted it from being a structural nuisance into an integral feature of the kitchen.

Our clients also requested lots of storage space and with this in mind we built two large pull-out larder units. In addition we built two corner units incorporating clever corner storage systems to achieve maximum space.

At either side of the range cooker we built in cupboard units for extra storage of oils and spices. Our clients had also requested an entertainment feature within the kitchen. We designed and built this area in the far corner of the kitchen and built in to it a wine fridge, coffee maker and glazed top cupboard units for displaying glasses.

We chose black granite for the work surfaces as this worked particularly well with the oak units and they complemented each other very well.

We also built a large solid oak dining table and to finish this beautiful and individual kitchen we made oak radiator covers to give a complete finish.
